One of three new Krystal restaurants planned for northeast Mississippi will be located along Highway 12 in Starkville, company officials said.
Specifically, the address will be 808 Highway 12 West, said Brian Cooley, a company spokesman.
The other two restaurants planned for the region will be located in Tupelo at 2615 West Main St. in Tupelo and Highway 45 in Columbus, with the Tupelo location ex
pected to open by early November and the Columbus and Starkville restaurants projected to open by early December, company officials said in a release.
“We’re excited to grow Krystal’s presence in Mississippi with the opening of three new, corporate-owned restaurants,” said Fred Exum, chief executive officer, The Krystal Co. “The restaurants will be designed to serve up great food and great hospitality to our guests while offering an extraordinary value — not just in price but also in quality.”
These new restaurants will add to the company’s more than 20 existing locations in Mississippi.
Krystal officials project that each of the new restaurants will employ about 40 people.
A total of 20 new company-owned restaurants are expected to open by 2009, company officials said, noting that the move will add more than 800 jobs in local markets in a minimum of 11 states.
