Amanda Lynn Koch, of Baltimore, Md., and Thomas Wyatt Funderburk of Nashville, Tenn., were married in Nashville on July 4, 2010. Â
The ceremony and following dinner were held at the Cannery Ballroom, built in 1883 in downtown Nashville, Tenn. Â
Mandyâ€™s parents are George and Julia Koch of Baltimore, Md., and Wyattâ€™s are Brent and Debby Funderburk of Starkville.
Katie Yeargin of Baltimore, Md., a longtime friend and bandmate of Mandyâ€™s, was maid of honor. Â
Wyattâ€™s bandmate and best friend since Starkville preschool days, Steven Fazio of Nashville, Tenn., was best man.
Bridesmaids were Amy Greco, Misty Patton, Ellen Collier, Bridget Clark, and Amy Post. Â
Groomsmen were Jackson Funderburk, brother of the groom; Brett Patton; Matt Collier, Todd Patton and Robert Hume.
Greeting guests was Adrienne Sawyer, fianceâ€™ of Steven Fazio. Â
Guests were ushered to their seats by Tim Cook and Byron Wilkes. Â
Music was by pianist, Parisa Sarfhejoo of Nashville, Tenn., and violinist, Cassidy Funderburk of Atlanta, Ga.
Officiant of the ceremony was Rev. Ralph Griggs of Nashville, Tenn., and Brent Funderburk, father of the groom, gave the wedding message. Â
Following the ceremony and dinner, celebrants stepped outside the Ballroom to witness the Fourth of July Fireworks happening along the Cumberland River.
Wyatt and Mandy, both musicians, met when their bands performed together at a music festival. Â
Mandy is a graduate of Towson University in Maryland and is a graduate student/assistant in Music Education at Middle Tennessee State University, where she plays bass in the orchestra. Â
Wyatt attended Belmont University in Nashville and Mississippi State University, and graduated from the Sound and Audio Engineering Institute in Nashville, Tenn.
Both Mandy and Wyatt continue to perform and record their original music and Wyatt is also a producer of other musical artists. Â The newlyweds have already written and recorded a song for children based on the classic story of â€śFerdinand the Bull.â€ť
The Funderburks reside in Nashville, Tenn.
