GREENVILLE — Mrs. Elizabeth Smith Love, 88, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Greenwood LeFlore Hospital in Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Lake Washington First Baptist Church in Glen Allan.
Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Lake Washington First Baptist Church.
Boone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Love was born in Chester in Choctaw County on May 27, 1923 to Herman and Norma Wise Smith. She was the older of two daughters.Â
She was a member of Lake Washington First Baptist Church and lived out her faith as a homemaker. She was a wife for over seventy years and a dedicated mother.Â
She sacrificially devoted her life to the care of one of her sons, Paul Jr., who was a quadriplegic for over 50 years.Â
The family would like to express appreciation to caregivers Daisy Randle, Marsha Miller and Dean Rogers.
Mrs. Love is survived by her son, Kirby Love (Carol) of Greenwood; her sister, Mrs. Kathryn Lee of Starkville; two granddaughters, Laura Love Smith (Jeff) of Navarre, Fla., and Mary Martha Scrivener (Don) of Vaiden; grandson, James Robert Love II of Manhattan, Kan.; a great-granddaughter, Rani Scrivener and 3 great-grandsons, Joshua and David Smith and Andrew Scrivener.
Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husband Paul Clifford Love, Sr., a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Love Saad, and a son, Paul Love Jr.
