LAFAYETTE, La. - Mass Services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Gavin Matthew Gholston, 11 months old, who died Monday, June 25, 2012.
Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Greenwood Cemetery and Mausoleum in New Orleans.
Reverend Father M. Keith Landry will officiate the Mass Service in Lafayette.
Gavin was born Monday, July 18, 2011 in Lafayette and was the joy of his family's life. Gavin loved to listen to music and dance. The happiest, most affectionate baby, he would go to anyone. Gavin had the kind of personality that drew others to him and everyone wanted to hold him when they saw him. He will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed.
Gavin is survived by his parents, Robert Matthew and Laura Kelley Gholston, of Lafayette, La.; his paternal grandparents, Robert & Nanette Gholston of Starkville; his maternal grandparents, Ronald & Judith Kelley of Kenner, La.; one uncle, Ryan Kelley, also of Kenner, La.; and his godfather and godmother, John Gholston of Starkville and Erin Winder of Lafayette, La.
Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, La. on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
