Mr. Joe Ree Malone Sr., 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Church with Rev. Riley Forrest officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at West Memorial Funeral Home.
West Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife: Mrs. Rosie Bell Malone; ten daughters: Mrs. Hazel (Willie) Wilford and Mrs. Vonnie Jean (Robert) Davis of Fort Myers, Fla.; Mrs. Juanita (Johnny) Wells of Flint, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Kaye (Darryl) Thomas of Bourbonnais, Ill.; Mrs. Barbara Breed, Mrs. Rosie (Johnny) Givens, Mrs. Izella (Charlie) Brewer, Ms. Quantina Halbert and Ms. Brenda Gray all of Crawford; Mrs. Martha Faye (Lexie) Tate of Starkville; four sons: Mr. Joe Ree (Jacqueline) Malone, Jr. and Mr. Bobby Jefferson of Crawford; Mr. Alfonzo (Julia) Malone of San Jose, Calif.; Mr. Michael (Helen) Malone of Kankakee, Ill.; four brothers: Mr. Johnnie (Louise) Malone of Crawford; Mr. Robert (Helen) Malone, Mr. Aaron (Vernell) Malone and Mr. Appling (Ruth) Malone all of Flint, Mich.; five sisters: Mrs. Lillie Segar, Mrs. Priscilla Green, Mrs. Fannie (Roy) Brooks all of Kankakee, Ill.; Mrs. Sophia Allen and Mrs. Jossie Redmond of Crawford; two aunts: Mrs. Maggie (Fenton) Peters and Mrs. Nancy Norris of Starkville; two uncles: Mr. Walter (Annie) Malone of Crawford and Mr. William (Jerdine) Malone of Flint, Mich.; three sisters-in-law Ms. Jim Ana Colbert of Crawford, Ms. Willie Colbert of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Geneva Johnson of Columbus; one brother-in-law: Mr. Albert O’neal of Columbus; four god-children: Mrs. Felecia Jones, Mrs. Carolyn (Kenneth) Thomas, Mrs. Bonnie (James) Billiups and Mr. Paul (Brenda) Jackson; thirty-eight grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
