Lady Jackets beat Amory in volleyball

The Starkville High School volleyball team continued its winning ways and beat Amory Thursday night in three sets.

The Lady Jackets took the match 25-5, 25-8 and 25-8.

Courtney Wilson had seven aces and Michaela Mills had six.

SHS improved its record to 5-3 and have won five straight.

The Lady Jackets are back in action Saturday when they travel to Tupelo High School to compete in the Tupelo Volleyfest. They are scheduled to play Lewisberg at 10:15 a.m. and follow that up with an 11 a.m. match against Lafayette.
