Mr. William "Bill" Holder Tucker of Des Moines, Iowa, 49, died, Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Starkville.
Burial will follow at Double Springs Baptist Cemetery in Maben.
Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1962 in Charleston. Bill graduated from Blytheville High School in Blytheville, Ark. in 1981.
Bill worked as an independent real estate appraiser in Des Moines, Iowa with prior experience in Arkansas Kansas and Missouri. He was involved in the family companies, Tucker Pines, Inc. and also Tucker Limited Partnership where he shared his wealth of knowledge and vision for the future.
Bill had great love for his family and friends. He spent many years volunteering in the youth and music ministries of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Urbandale, Iowa. Some of his favorite times were spent on mission trips to Appalachian regions and working alongside his son, Nik.
He is survived by his children, Nik Tucker, an Iowa State Junior and Brittany Tucker and senior at Prairie High School of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; parents, Allan and Barbara Tucker of Starkville; and sisters, Laura Tucker Haynes of Escondido, Calif., Pam Tucker De La Cruz of Grapevine, Texas and Cindy Tucker McLoed of Brownsburg, Ind. and their families.
Bill's family requests all memorial gifts go to the music ministry of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Urbandale, Iowa, First Baptist Church Blytheville, Ark. or the Appalachia Service Project in Johnson City, Tenn.
