Sarah Winnice Spencer, 80, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at Coleman Funeral Home with Chip Stevens and Clifton Curtis officiating.
Burial followed at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
Visitation was held 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at Coleman Funeral Home.
Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 14, 1932, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville.

She is survived by son, Scott (Kim) Spencer of Pelham, Ala.; daughter, Sarah E. Spencer of Starkville; grandchildren, Stephen Spencer of Starkville and Lindsey and Alex Holler of Pelham, Ala.; great-grandson, Ayden Holler of Pelham, Ala.; and beloved pet Cosmo.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Mississippi State University Veterans Memorial Rose Garden at P.O. Box 9555, Mississippi State, MS 39762.
