The Mississippi State University Student Association announced Thursday that rock/pop group Neon Trees, which was scheduled to headline Bulldog Bash on Nov. 2, will not perform because it has canceled its entire fall college tour.

The group issued a statement in a release from the MSU Center for Student Activities citing “an unforeseen personal circumstance” as the reason for canceling their appearance.

The group plans to work with all the venues where they were to perform and reschedule appearances. Since Bulldog Bash is a one-time event, that option will not be available, MSU SA President Shelby Balius said.

“We’re still looking on finding a replacement act. We have been in contact with our agents over the past couple of days to make that decision,” Balius said. “With any luck, we’ll be able to make that announcement within the next week or so.”

Pop singer and songwriter Andy Grammer, country music trio Gloriana and DJ Archnemesis are still scheduled to perform at the annual outdoor concert, which is the largest of its kind in the state.
