Mrs. Dorothy Lackey Peden, 85, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Starkville with Rev. Joey Sherrard officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 and 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church.
Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 13, 1927 to the late Patrick H. and Ollie Collier Lackey.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, whom she considered her sons, Peggy P. (Levette) Johnson of Starkville, Linda P. (Tommy) Jordan of Brandon and Brenda P. (Dick) Mallory of Crystal Lake, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Jarrod (Emily) Johnson, Neely (Davis) Johnson Wilbourn, Brian (fiancé, Amy Saling) Jordan, Lacie (Gunner) Jordan Smith, Anna (Grant) Jordan Brabham, Riley Jordan, Mandie (Christopher) Mallory Meier and Matthew Mallory; 11 great-grandchildren, Carter, Lillie Kate and Hadley Smith, Anna Leigh and Benjamin Meier, Jackson and Harrison Wilbourn, Braxton and Liza Johnson and Kaden and Knox Brabham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy T. Peden Jr.
