Hershel Wood

Mr. Hershel Wallace Wood, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at The Arbors at Willow Springs in Spring Hill, Tenn.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Curry Funeral Home of Dyersburg, Tenn. is in charge of arrangements.

Hershel was born in Miston, Tenn. He served a short time in the Air Force and farmed in Noxubee and Pickens counties for over 30 years.

He is survived by daughters, Pam Wood of Knoxville, Tenn. and Rebecca (Martin) Jackson of Gardnerville, Nev.; son, John (Barbara) Wood of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Oralee Ashcraft of Newben, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Brian Jackson and Hayden Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel William and Gladys Wallace Wood.
