EUPORA – The Eupora Eagles started the first round of the Class 2A playoffs by beating Coahoma County 49-0 at home Friday.
Eupora's stingy defense had its third shutout of the year.
Quarterback Trey Pittman threw for two touchdowns for the Eagles, a 12-yard reception to Jamall Roby and a 6-yard catch to Juwan Roby.
Eupora, which improved to 11-1, hosts South Delta in the second round of the playoffs next week.
East Webster 36,
Strayhorn 8
SARAH – The Wolverines advanced in the Class 2A playoffs with a victory over Strayhorn.
For East Webster, it was Jack Wilson concluding his night with three touchdown on the ground, while DeAngelo Liggins had 19 rushes for 227 yards and two touchdowns.
The Wolverines defense force four turnovers in the win. East Webster improved to 9-3 and host Bruce in the second round.

West Oktibbeha 26
PELAHATCHIE – Tiberias Lampkin rushed for 19 carries and 186 yards and two touchdowns, but the Timberwolves lost a decision in what turns out to be their final game of the season.
West Oktibbeha saw its records fall to 8-3 overall, and 6-2 in the Class A, Region 3, District 4, but won't be able to participate in the playoffs because of accreditation issues.
Quarterback Von Smith had one touchdown pass for the Timberwolves.
