Mrs. Mary Allene Hudson Smith, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the United Funeral Service Chapel.
Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 17, 1925 in Union County to the late Henry Louis Hudson and Laura Gaines Hudson. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, taking care of her flowers and spending time with the grandchildren. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in New Albany and member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Oxford.

She is survived by her daughters, Gay Williamson (Mark) of Starkville and Lydia Moak (Andrew) of Oxford; sister, Catherine Browning (Gene) of New Albany; and four grandchildren, Herston Williamson and Mary Williamson both of Starkville, and Isabella Moak and George Moak both of Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, George Smith Jr.; three sisters, Cuple Hudson, Myra Lee Crum and Marie Grant; and a brother, Buddy Hudson.
