Janell Arnold

Janell Henry Arnold, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville.

Janell was born in Starkville and lived in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a graduate of Starkville High School and attended Mississippi State University. She worked for The University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa as an administrative assistant. She attended the Trinity United Methodist Church on the campus of The University of Alabama.

Janell was involved in environmental protection, garden clubs and gardening and was an avid birder, both wild and domestic.

Janell leaves sons, Sam Arnold of Little Rock, Ark. and Steve Arnold of Lebanon, Ohio; and sister, Grace Henry Goodman of Starkville. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Bessie Henry; and daughter, Susan Arnold.
