Mrs. Pearlie M. Ballard, 74, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Betheden Cemetery in Winston County.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home.
Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ballard was a member of New Life Worship Center in Bradley and a homemaker.

Pearlie is survived by daughters, Debra Buford, Jammie Reed and Kathe Hosford, all of Starkville; sons, Wayne Smith of Starkville and Dennis Smith of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Dot Dawkins of Starkville and Daisy Gorsuch of Goshen, Ind.; brothers, Walter Gazaway of Sturgis and George Gazaway of Maben; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ballard; parents, Bennie and Bell Gazaway; sons, Donald and Benny Smith; brothers, Thomas Gazaway, Edward Gazaway, William Gazaway, Tony Gazaway, Bennie (Bub) Gazaway and Lavell Shank.
