TUPELO – The Starkville Yellowjackets improved their record to 6-0 in boys soccer Tuesday night with a 2-1 victory over Tupelo.
It was the first win at Tupelo in school history.
Taylor Wise and Juan Salazar had one goal each for the Yellowjackets.
The next action for Starkville will be at Brandon this weekend in an event called The Show. The Jackets play West Jones at 8:45 p.m. Friday, then take on Brandon at 11:30 a.m. and Florence at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

TUPELO – The Lady Jackets did fare as well as they suffered a shutout to the homestanding Lady Golden Wave.
It was the first loss of the season for SHS as its record fell to 3-1-2.
The Lady Jackets also are scheduled to play in Brandon this weekend. After facing West Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, SHS meets West Harrison at 10:30 a.m. and Northwest Rankin at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
