MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Mrs. Joanne Pruitt Reddell of Murfreesboro, Tenn., beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, was called Home to be with her Lord Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, after enduring a long illness.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mark Gregory officiating.
Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation was held noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel prior to services.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel of Murfreesboro, Tenn. was in charge of arrangements.
She was a native of West Point and the daughter of the late Inez and Clovis Pruitt.
She is survived by her husband, John Alvin Reddell; two sons, John Alvin (Michelle) Reddell Jr. and Eric (Pam) Reddell; daughter, Amy (Juan) Reyes; eight grandchildren, Josie, Hayley, Ian, John Will, Anderson, Lola, Iris and Leighton, all of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two sisters, Joyce Blake of Cedar Bluff and Peggy (Ted) Mayden of Starkville; and numerous nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends.
She was preceded in death in death by brothers, Marvin Pruitt, J.D. Pruitt, Ralph Pruitt, Billy Joe Pruitt and Kenneth Pruitt; and sister, Nancy Butler.
Although we grieve her absence with us in our earthly lives, we rejoice and celebrate her new life in her Heavenly Home.
Her persistent and unwavering faith, her dedication and sacrifices for her family, her sweet and gentle ways and her fearless endurance will never be forgotten. We take comfort in knowing she is now received into her Heavenly Home. Our sorrow is consoled with God's ageless promise that He will restore the years the locusts have eaten.
Her beautiful smile is permanently etched in each of our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
