HOMEWOOD, Ala. â€” Mrs. Peggy Jeane Daniels Dew, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, Ala.
A reception will follow the service.
Visitation will be held 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Ridout's Valley Chapel prior to service.
Mrs. Dew was born to Iva Griffin Daniels and Edna Pearline Eaves Daniels on July 29, 1935 in Shuqualak. The family later moved to Starkville where Peggy grew up and graduated from Starkville High School in May 1953. Peggy worked and paid for her tuition to Mississippi State University where she majored in accounting and secretarial science.
It was at MSU that Peggy met William Frederick (Fred) Dew Jr., and they were married on May 29, 1955. After graduation, they moved to Pensacola, Fla. where Peggy worked for the St. Regis Paper Co. for two years until the birth of their first of three children. The family moved to Rhode Island for two years, then moved to Decatur, Ala. where their three girls attended school and graduated from Decatur High School. Peggy and Fred moved to Birmingham, Ala. in 1986, and later moved to Montvallo, Ala. in 1999 to open and establish The McKibbon House Bed and Breakfast.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, William Frederick Dew Jr. (Fred); three daughters, Teresa Renee Dew Millsap (Hugo), Patricia Anne Dew Woodard (Keith) and Tina Marie Dew; four grandsons, Garrett and Forrest Millsap, and Daniel and David Woodard; one brother, Dennis Keith Daniels (Ann) of Starkville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Griffin Daniels and Faye Daniels.
