The Greater Starkville Development Partnership’s Downtown at Sundown summer concert series returns next week to Fire Station Park.

June 21's concert features music by Drew Dieckmann, a local singer/ songwriter, and singers from Starkville Community Theatre's summer fundraiser shows of past and present.

“We’re excited to bring Starkville Community Theatre on board for this month’s show, and we’re hoping for another large crowd,” Special Events and Projects Coordinator Paige Watson said.

Beginning at 7 p.m., Downtown at Sundown will feature food and snack vendors, and drinks will also be available for purchase.

The Partnership encourages guests to bring their lawn chairs or blankets. “Events such as this are perfect for all ages, so we encourage families, as well as summer school students to come out and enjoy the show,” Watson said.

Next month’s concert on July 19 will feature The Flames, a local Motown group, and the series will end on August 16 with Brent Varner and Jake Slinkard.
