SPD investigating armed robbery at gas station


SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said officers received a report at about 1 a.m. Monday morning of an armed robbery at the Sprint Mart at the corner of Academy Road and Louisville Street.

The Starkville Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that took place early Monday morning at a local gas station.

SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said officers received a report at about 1 a.m. Monday morning of an armed robbery at the Sprint Mart at the corner of Academy Road and Louisville Street. 

Lovelady also confirmed that no one was injured during the robbery. 

He then confirmed there is one suspect being sought by investigators and said more information will be available later in the day. 

The incident remains under active investigation.
