A two-car collision on Poor House Road injured three people Monday morning.

“The traffic accident was at 11:40 a.m,” Oktibbeha County Fire Services Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan confirmed. “The wreck took place on Poor House East, just east of the (Mississippi) Horse Park.”

Oktibbeha County District Five Fire Department and OCH Regional Medical Center ambulance services responded to the scene.

“It was a two-vehicle, head-on (collision) and we transported three people, two drivers and an occupant, to OCH,” Rosenhan said. “There was no rescue. All the doors opened so that was no problem.”

OCH EMS Director Michael Hunt confirmed three people were injured in the collision.

“One was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Jackson, one was sent by ground to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and one was submitted to OCH,” Hunt said.

Hunt said the patient at OCH is in stable condition, while the patients in Jackson and Tupelo are in stable, but critical condition.
