Harold Carlisle

Mr. Harold Lee Carlisle of Carrollton,74, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Indywood Glen Personal Care in Greenwood.  

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton with Rev. Tommy Clark officiating.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m.  Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Wilson and Knight Funeral Home of Greenwood is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carlisle was born Oct. 1, 1938 in Ovett to Robert Harold “Bob” Carlisle and Zelter Knight. He graduated from Pascagoula High School. After moving to Greenwood, he worked as a brick mason until retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed doing with his sons. Harold was also a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of  45 years, Annette M. Carlisle of Carrollton; sons, Jason Casey Carlisle of Brandon and Harold Lee Carlisle Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tammy Carlisle of Starkville; step-granddaughters, Logan Waggoner of Columbus and Laura McCoy of Starkville.

Pallbearers will be Joephy Gee, Trey Newsome, Trevor Newsome, Kenneth Chancellor, William Corder and Brock Marrett.

Honorary Pallbearers will  be Dr. Michael Boler and staff, Leslie Burden, James Dykes, Charles Rickles, Phil Harrison, Don Fancher and Bubba Buford.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to North Carrollton Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. 

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Sta-Home, Grace Community Hospice and the compassionate staff of Indywood, specifically his care givers Sylvia Cotton and Jessie Hawkins.
