MSU head coach Rick Ray took the podium Monday afternoon at the Humphrey Coliseum, with some more big news for the Bulldog basketball team.
He announced that sophomore forward Roquez Johnson was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
"Roquez Johnson has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules," Ray said.
Johnson is averaging 8.8 points in 25.5 minutes per game this season. He is shooting 42.8 percent from the field. He is also pulling down 4.5 rebounds.
Junior guard Jalen Steele has missed the last three games due to a suspension and Ray said his status for Wednesday at Alabama has yet to be determined.
If Steele doesn't play Wednesday, the Bulldogs will have only five scholarship players and seven total people on the roster.
