The Jackets tacked on six more runs in the third inning before ending scoring with four runners crossing the plate in the fourth inning.

Following completion of the game with Ethel, SHS took the field once more for a nightcap contest with Kosciusko.

The Jackets were not as successful in this outing as they dropped a 19-8 decision. With the split, the SHS record stands at 4-2. The Jackets defeated Louisville 9-1 on the r pad Friday night.

Next up for Starkville will be a road trip Tuesday to face rival West Point, followed by a home game against the Houston Hilltoppers on Saturday.
