Jonathan Brown

Jonathan Kensey Brown, 46, passed away on April 9, 2013 in Columbus, MS.  He was a Helicopter Test Pilot for American Eurocopter and had been a pilot for 28 years.  He was also a graduate of Embry Riddle, where he received his bachelor's degree in Aeronautics Safety and recently attended Pinelake Church in Starkville.  He loved to fish and go to the beach with his children.  He was an excellent father.

He is survived by his children, Shelby and Nathan Brown, both of Starkville, MS; his former wife, Christy Brown of Starkville, MS; mother, Alice Morgan of Medford, OR; father, Robert Brown of Glendale, OR; sister, Janice Stevens of Jackson, MS; and brothers, Jason Brown of Roseburg, OR and Josh Brown of Glendale, OR.

Visitation for Mr. Brown is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2013 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel.  Rev. Josh Gilreath will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.

Memorial donations may be made to Pinelake Church, 200 Hwy. 25 South, Starkville, MS 39759.
