Ruth Peil

Ruth D. Peil, 88, devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.

Born and raised in Corfu, New York, Mrs. Peil served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Starkville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Peil; parents, Fred and Myrtle Dery; and brother, Carlton Dery. 

She is survived by one sister, six sons, three daughters, sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, Stone Mountain Chapel, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Georgia National Cemetery Canton, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mississippi State Veterans Home 310 Autumn Ridge Drive  Kosciusko, MS 39090.
