April 18, 2013

The game, which was suspended in the seventh inning due to weather, will be completed tonight after game two of the series at 6:30 p.m. The Bulldogs wore caps with the letter B to show their support for the city of Boston after the tragedy that struck the Boston Marathon on Monday. The Mississippi State Bulldogs looked to be on the way to their fourth-straight Southeastern Conference victory.
Then lightening struck, literally.
The No. 18 Bulldogs (30-9, 8-7) were leading the Auburn Tigers (23-14, 5-10) 6-3 Thursday night in the bottom of the seventh inning when a flash of lightning was seen in the sky.
