The Starkville Yellowjackets didn't waste any time executing the plan the coach had set out for them in the first round Class 5A playoff series against Provine Friday night.
Starkville coach Brian Jones said prior to the matchup that he wanted his club to have some timely hits, execute on offense, move baserunner, make all the routine plays and throws strikes on the mound.
For the most part, the Jackets were successful with that during a 12-2 victory over the Rams in six innings at home.
