Indians anxious to resume play in baseball

May 1, 2013

It has been a week and a half since the Ackerman Indians have played a baseball game.
The weather could make that wait even longer.
The second round Class 2A playoff series between the Indians and Loyd Star is scheduled to start today at 5 p.m. in Ackerman, but there is more rain in the forecast.
The game was moved up two hours from its original starting time of 7 p.m. in hopes to get the action in between showers.
If a decision has to be made to postpone the opener, it will have to be made pretty early in the day because Loyd Star is located close to Brookhaven, about four hours away.
