Being the new person is not easy, but Bailie Springfield took it all in stride as she assumed her role as pitcher for the East Webster Lady Wolverines.
In fact, the freshman remained cool as a cucumber all season long right up until the end when she stood alongside her teammates to accept the Class 2A State championship medals.
With the accomplishments of her and her team, Springfield has been recognized as Starkville Daily News High School Fast Pitch Player of the Year.
