Rotary sponsors exchange student

May 30, 2013

Giulia Martinoli said she did not know what to expect when she first left Italy and arrived in the United States as part of the Rotary International’s Youth Exchange Program last July — she just knew she had finally achieved a childhood dream.

“I was happy to come here because it was my dream when I was little,” Martinoli said. “I have always wanted to see this country. At first my mom was kind of a little afraid because she knew she was going to miss me, and in the beginning my grandparents told me I was crazy because I didn’t know anyone here, but they are happy now.”
