June 11, 2013

The Starkville School District Board of Trustees will consider approving a $9.95 million bond for facility maintenance projects at its meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Greensboro Center.

SSD Superintendent Lewis Holloway said this bond would increase property taxes within the district by three mils and would be repaid over 10 years. He said the $9.95 million included a $1,995,000 no-interest loan from the Mississippi Department of Education.
