SMITH COLUMN: MSU turns successful with Cohen as coach

June 12, 2013

SMITH

It has been a process for Mississippi State baseball coach John Cohen and one that has worked.
Despite what was going on at the time he returned to Starkville to work with his alma mater on June 7, 2008, Cohen believed the Bulldogs could win again and they have.
MSU had endured three-straight losing seasons with one coming under coach Ron Polk in 2008 (23-33), then two more with Cohen in 2009 (25-29) and in 2010 (23-33).
