It has been 23 years since John Cohen has been a participant at the College World Series.
That all changes today.
The Mississippi State fifth-year head coach leads his No. 7 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs against the No. 3 Oregon State Beavers in the first game of the 2013 College World Series.
The Bulldogs (48-18) and the No. 3 overall seed Beavers (50-11) face off at 2 p.m. today on ESPN2 at T.D. Ameritrade Park.
It is the first time Cohen has experienced the College World Series as a coach. He was a part of the MSU club that went in 1990, but then it was played a Rosenblatt Stadium.
"I feel like Gomer Pyle walking under the stadium," Cohen said.
