OMAHA, Neb. – Trey Porter hasn't been a big part of the Mississippi State offense in the last few weeks.
That all changed Monday night.
The senior singled to right field in the eighth inning to drive home two runs as the No. 7 Bulldogs beat the No. 8 Indiana Hoosiers 5-4 at TD Ameritrade in the College World Series.
The Bulldogs don't play again until Friday and will play the winner of the Hoosiers (49-15) and Oregon State.
The Bulldogs are now 50-18 this season. It is the fourth time in MSU history that a club has reached 50 wins in a season.
