OMAHA, Neb. – Father Burke Masters just happens to be teaching a class at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and Mississippi State just happens to be playing in the College World Series in the same city.
The priest of the Chicago Cubs played baseball for the Bulldogs from 1987-90 with current MSU head coach John Cohen.
Cohen has led the Bulldogs to this year's College World Series at TD Ameritrade and has them at two wins and no losses with just one victory standing in between them and the best-of-three national championship series.
MSU plays Oregon State today at 2 p.m.
