The Pontotoc Pirates generated the necessary offense to pull off a State championship on Sunday.
After out-slugging the Delta Tigers 14-13 in the semifinals of the AA classification, the Pirates knocked off the Booneville Blaze 8-4 in the championship game of the United States Speciality Sports Association 11-Under State Tournament.
Pontotoc coach Daniel Galloway said when his team turns it on offensively, it's difficult for opponents to shut it down.
