Standing as one has been the focus for the Starkville 12-year-old All-Star team.
No matter whether it is on the field or off, coach Jim Yates states his team is prepared to stand strong against whatever comes their way.
“We have a devotional before practice and we have been focusing on the word stand,” Yates said. “There is the Biblical way of standing for God, but we have also been talking about as a team we are standing as one. We are standing together as we go out there and make plays. (It's) just standing and doing the things we need to do.”
