COLUMBUS – The ride is over for the 12-year-old Starkville All-Stars.
On Tuesday, the team took the field against Louisville in an effort to play its way back into the Dizzy Dean State championship game, but was unsuccessful as it lost 15-3.
“It was tough,” Starkville coach Jim Yates. “I am really proud of our guys. They really battled just like I asked them to. They gave me all they had and I was just really proud to be a part of the team.”
