Starkville Police Department is investigating a death at the Dawg Wash car wash at 1307 Stark Road.
Starkville Police Chief David Lindley said the incident was reported to the department at 5:27a.m. Upon arrival, police found a body on the scene.
"It does appear to be at this time a homicide," he said. "We have been investigating it and are continuing to investigate it."
He said SPD was unable to release further information at the time due to ongoing investigation into the case.
The Dawg Wash is a self-service car wash station next to the Dollar General at the south end of Stark Road near Highway 12.
Lindley said SPD was working on the investigation with Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department.
