Parks doesn't pass up an opportunity to coach

Jarrod Parks told himself that he was never going to coach, unless the right offer came along.
The former Mississippi State Bulldog was released by the Los Angeles Angels organization last September. He returned to his hometown, Madison, where several coaching offers presented themselves.
Most were high school jobs and that's not want he wanted to do. He decided to start giving private lessons to young players, but knew that wasn't going to last for long.
"I was in Madison just doing baseball stuff, private lessons and stuff like that by myself," Parks said. "That's just not something I wanted to do. I wanted to give myself at least a shot to start out with older guys."
