It's a dream of a high school football athlete to be able to play in a college stadium.
The Starkville Yellowjackets get to do it twice in the same year.
After hosting a spring jamboree with Brandon and Gadsden City, Ala., at Mississippi State's Davis Wade Stadium in May, the Yellowjackets are right back at that site on August 17 when they participate in a fall jamboree hosted by New Hope High School.
It will be a return to Davis Wade Stadium for the event. Last year, the Trojans held the jamboree at their Lowndes County home because of work being done on the Scott Field surface.
Starkville head coach Jamie Mitchell said playing at Davis Wade in the spring was a nice experience and his squad is once again looking forward to taking the field where the Bulldogs call home.
"Our guys are kind of spoiled here because we get that opportunity a little more frequent than anybody else," Mitchell said. "Anytime you get to go out there, the kids love it. It's a different venue and they'll enjoy being out there for sure."
