July 15, 2013

Two local competitors reached the top 10 in the Miss Mississippi Pageant Saturday night in Vicksburg, and judges ultimately awarded the crown and a trip to the Miss America pageant to Miss Amory Railroad Festival Chelsea Rick.

Miss Mississippi State University Jasmine Murray, a sophomore at MSU from Columbus, and Miss Southern Heartland Jessica Terrill, a recent MSU graduate from Starkville, both reached the top 10, but did not reach the top five as they had last year.
