In the last few days, I've gotten no fewer than six robo-calls from my son's former school system, informing me of various tryouts and back-to-school events that no longer apply to us, though the automated voice of Assistant Principal Russ Buchanan hardly seems to know that. I can deal with that, though. We've been in the system for going on six years now; a little overlap is to be expected.
That's hardly the point, though. The back-to-school fever is spreading rapidly as August approaches, and in the last week, I've seen more and more notices for events and preparations in Starkville, as well.
