Citizens expected to rally for Spruill

July 23, 2013

Residents of Starkville are expected to gather at 5 p.m. this evening on the steps of City Hall to lend support to Chief Administrative Officer Lynn Spruill.

The Board of Aldermen elected to terminate Spruill’s employment with the city in a 5-2 vote on July 2, which Mayor Parker Wiseman vetoed in the days thereafter. The board is expected to revisit the matter at tonight’s meeting.
