Hughes plans move into medical field

July 23, 2013

Hughes

Nate Hughes calls the 4 1/2 years he spent in the National Football League an "awesome" experience.
Now it's time for a change for the former Starkville High School player.
If things work out like Hughes wants, he might actually work on injured football players one day as a doctor.
Hughes plans to apply for medical school this week and actually takes his MCAT on Thursday.
Depending on how the situation develops, it can open a whole new world for Hughes.
