Never giving up is something coach Kayla Mosley has been preaching to her Lady Volunteers softball team this season.
On Saturday during the Starkville Academy Invitational, the team showed its coach they had been listening.
Down by one heading into their final at-bat against the Oak Hill Lady Raiders, the Lady Vols put up two in the bottom of the fourth to claim a 5-4 victory in their third game of the event at the Starkville Sportsplex.
“They didn’t give up,” Mosley said. “They are competitors. That is what we have been trying to tell them all along. Don’t look at the scoreboard and go up there to compete every single time and they did.”
