August 6, 2013

A United States District Judge dismissed a federal lawsuit against Oktibbeha County Circuit Clerk Glenn Hamilton following failure by the plaintiff to properly serve summons to the defendants.

Elizabeth R. Evans, former criminal clerk in the circuit clerk’s office, filed a $600,000 lawsuit against Hamilton in March 2012 after he terminated her from her position the previous December. Evans worked at her position for 22 years before her termination.
