SHS archery coaches prepare for the newest sport

August 6, 2013

Archery is on the way for Starkville High School.
The newest sport for the Yellowjackets will begin in February of 2014 and the preparation continues for the season.
Coaches Michael Pope and Michelle Guyton are getting everything in order for high school competition.
"Michelle and I are both new to this, but we're not new to archery," Pope said. "I've been in Starkville for 20 years. She does a lot of boys scouts and we both do a lot of 4-H archery. This is completely different, so we've got some learning to do. It's going to be fun."
