One word stands out to Starkville High coach Jamie Mitchell as his football team begins practicing for the 2013 season and that word is dynasty.
Coming off a state championship season, Mitchell says the team is well aware this is a new year and anything can happen, but what they also know is winning and you can bet expectations are high.
“This is not the 2012 state championship football team,” Mitchell said. “This is 2013. We want a dynasty here and our expectation is nothing short of that. The word dynasty is something we talk about. We want to build that here. It has been here in the past and we want to continue that road of success.”
